Pains & Aches

My pains, and suffering
My aches, and issues
Have been small by most measures
But they are my own

I have lost but little
And gained far more
I have felt the touch of grief
While others have felt its terrible weight

But in those dark nights
He, has come to me
Not a rushing wind
But a gentle fire

I have felt those burdens lift
From shoulders curved by tears
I have seen the light
Break through surrounding dark

My Lord, My God, has run to me
Has enfolded me in His love
Has born up my weight
And encircled my darkest corners
